I’m Allyson Voss, a Speech-Language Pathologist with over 25 years of experience supporting students in developing communication, social understanding, and confidence.
For the past 17 years, I’ve worked in a large suburban high school, where I support students navigating the social and academic demands of adolescence. I also teach a class focused on social awareness and perspective-taking, helping students build practical skills they can use every day.
I specialize in working with neurodiverse teens and young adults who benefit from explicit instruction and guided practice in social communication. This includes understanding perspective-taking, interpreting social cues, and learning how to respond flexibly in different situations.
What I’ve learned over the years is that many students can demonstrate these skills in a structured setting but have difficulty applying them in real-life situations. That’s where my approach is different.
I prioritize building strong, trusting relationships with my clients, while also creating opportunities to practice skills in meaningful, real-world contexts.
My goal is to help each individual feel more confident, capable, and successful in their everyday interactions: at school, in the community, and beyond.
